With a long established history in the wine world, this company was founded in 1868 by François Leroy. Today, the Maison Leroy is led by François’s great-granddaughter, the legendary, Madame Lalou Bize-Leroy. She continues to be a purveyor of some of the oldest Burgundies, some of which date back decades. Unlike the similarly owned, Domaine Leroy, these wines are not actually cultivated by the Leroy family, but are choice selections from other growers or producers. The optimistic Lalou Bize-Leroy believes year after year that the best wines are always yet to come.
