Known around the world for their superb, predominantly unoaked Chablis wines, Domaine Billaud-Simon was founded in 1815. Home to close to 20 hectares of vineyards, the cultivates almost exclusively Chardonnay, planted along the left and right banks of the Serein River. As a family-run domaine, Samuel Billaud, and his uncle, Bernard Billaud head the winemaking, where most of their productions are unoaked, with the intentions of crafting extremely pure, elegant and fresh styles of Chablis. Domaine Billaud-Simon encompasses four Grands Crus vineyards (Les Clos, Les Preuses, Vaudésir and Les Blanchots), four Premiers Crus (Montée de Tonnèrre, Mont-de-Mileu, Fourchaume and Vaillons), as well as a couple vineyards which are classified as Chablis Villages. Overall, these stylish Chablis productions are quite delicious, they are perfect whites to pair with gastronomic dishes.
