It’s medium-to full-bodied with bright acidity. Creamy layers of fruit here with cool minerality. Beautifully done. Drink or hold.93 Robert ParkerThe La Louviere 2018 Blanc leaps from the glass with pronounced grapefruit, lemon curd and honeysuckle scents with touches of mango and pineapple plus a waft of ginger. Medium-bodied, the palate is filled with intense citrus and tropical layers plus a satiny texture and oodles of freshness to lift the finish. Producer Château La LouvièreNestled in Bordeaux’s winemaking cradle, Château La Louvière can be found in Pessac-Léognan, just several kilometers from the city. Benefiting from a long vinous history of over seven centuries, the current château was built by Jean-Baptiste Mareilhac during the French Revolution. By 1965 the neoclassical château was purchased by André Lurton, who worked to restore the estate’s former glory. Terroir-based vineyard management, environmentally-friendly viticultural practices, and traditional winemaking methods coupled with the judicious use of modern techniques enable La Louvière to produce dry white and red wines of great character.
