16/20 vorbei88 Robert ParkerSadly, because of space limitations, it was not possible to include tasting notes for this wine. However, readers should be aware that neither 2003 nor 2002 was a great vintage for white wines. Normally these wines can be extremely long-lived, lasting 20-25, sometimes 30+ years.88 Wine SpectatorThis white is extremely bright, clean and fresh with mineral, honey and apple character. Medium-bodied, with lively acidity and a lemony finish. Needs some bottle age. Best after 2005. 3,890 cases made. –JS Producer Château La LouvièreNestled in Bordeaux’s winemaking cradle, Château La Louvière can be found in Pessac-Léognan, just several kilometers from the city. Benefiting from a long vinous history of over seven centuries, the current château was built by Jean-Baptiste Mareilhac during the French Revolution. By 1965 the neoclassical château was purchased by André Lurton, who worked to restore the estate’s former glory. Terroir-based vineyard management, environmentally-friendly viticultural practices, and traditional winemaking methods coupled with the judicious use of modern techniques enable La Louvière to produce dry white and red wines of great character.
