Antonio Moretti Cuseri, at the end of the 1990s, during a trip to Val di Noto, was literally enchanted by the sight of the famous Sicilian Baroque architecture and its warm Mediterranean waters. He fell madly in love with it, so much so that he decided to start a new venture here. In Noto, in the heart of the Mediterranean Sea, on the cliffs and beaches of the southernmost tip of the land, Antonio managed to assemble a property of about 250 hectares, acquiring them from more than fifty different landowners. Feudo Maccari spans nearly 265 hectares, with 60 hectares of vineyards divided into three groups on hills caressed all day by the sea breeze. Here, Nero d'Avola, Grillo, and Syrah grow alongside carob trees and olive trees, the symbolic plants of the Mediterranean environment. The appearance of the gentle hills of Feudo Maccari, the white limestone soil, and the breezes born from the meeting of two seas create the best conditions for successfully cultivating vines and producing great wines.
