Côte Rôtie Cuvée Classique 2006 75cl

Rostaing?s 2006 Cote Rotie Classique is lighter than the 2005, as all of these cuvees tend to be, but it reveals beautiful balance and elegant raspberry and cherry fruit mixed with some vanillin, a hint of smoky bacon, and creamy black cherry and currant fruit. This wine should drink nicely for 12-14 years.

Superfresh, with a great iron streak running through the silky violet, plum and red currant notes. The long, finely tuned finish has just a kiss of toast and leaves a mouthwatering impression. Drink now through 2018. 1,600 cases made. ?JM
